HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHICH ORGANIZATION TO DONATE TO?
It generally boils down to track record and trust that the organization is doing right by the animals. I have several organizations that are my "go to" rescues that I donate to. I have watched this organizations on social media for a long time, and in some cases built a relationship with the amazing volunteers who give animals a second chance. I tend to donate to dog rescues, but all animals deserve love, so in the future, I would like to expand my horizons. I am always open to recommendations from you guys!
HOW DO I RECOMMEND A RESCUE OR ORGANIZATION FOR Wilson Candle Co DONATIONS?

WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS LIKE?
I typically batch out candles in the quantity of 250-1000 candles at a time. I like to try to sell out of that stock so I can donate a lump sum to an organization instead of trickling funds in slowly. It also gives me a chance to control my inventory, since I am just a one person business.
WHY IS THERE A HANDLING FEE?
I added a small handling fee of 3.00, instead of raising prices across the board on all products. This small fee allows me to hire a small team of people to help with "shipping weeks" so we can process your order and get it out the door as soon as possible.
WHY DO YOU DONATE 30%?
This was a number I came up with that I thought would actually make a real impact with. 30% of the profit seemed like a fair number. Some people ask why I don't donate 100% of the profit. This is because I also need to pay myself, as this is my full-time job. It is a lot of work, but I genuinely love it.
